Seren Wib Holiday Cottage

What a beautiful summer this is turning out to be with so much blue sky and sunshine, lovely temperatures and balmy evenings. Our guests have been making the most of it with dips in the sea, local lakes or waterfalls. It is hard to believe that only four months ago these same waterfalls were frozen icicles! Things are very parched here as they are in many other parts of the UK but the long, dry days continue with no real change on the horizon. We have just returned from a wonderful boat trip to the Holy Island of Bardsey, the final resting place for so many Saints and now home to a colony of Grey Seals, goats, puffins and a handful of residents. The boat from Porth Meudwy near Aberdaron, takes about 20 minutes across the sometimes treacherous waters of Bardsey Sound and gives you four hours to exolore this inspiring and very peaceful place. Porth Meudwy is about a 55-minute drive from Seren Wib. The film of the sandy beach is Harlech the other evening with a swim in the unusually warm Irish Sea followed by supper.
